Wheel Throwing 2
Come spend your evenings in the Ceramics Studio working in community with fellow artists. This class is designed for advanced beginners, we will focus on making functional dinnerware – mugs, bowls, small jars, and plates. Students will work on refining and building their skills and work on developing a personal aesthetic. Each class meeting will have a specific focus and students can expect to complete 8-10 pieces. The class will include discussion of clay, glazes, and kilns that will give students a holistic understanding of ceramics.
Experience Level: Previous experience wheel throwing required. Students should be familiar with the steps of centering, opening, and pulling. This is an advanced beginner class; it is expected that students will have room for growth in each of these skills. This class is repeatable as students continue their journeys in clay.
